WILSON VALE ENTERS PREFERRED SUPPLIER AGREEMENT WITH CONFERENCE CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE

Monday 23rd April 2012

Wilson Vale has become the first preferred supplier to enter into a sponsorship agreement with Conference Centres of Excellence, the UK’s leading sales and marketing consortium for training, meeting and conference centres. The three-year investment is expected to reap benefits for both organisations.

Andrew Wilson, managing director of Wilson Vale, said: “This is a great opportunity to raise our profile and awareness of the Wilson Vale brand within a network of like-minded, quality-focused venues. Food is increasingly becoming a major selling point within this extremely competitive sector and we see this sponsorship agreement as an unprecedented opportunity for our chefs to learn more about the challenges facing today’s conference and meeting centre managers.”

Anthony Lishman, executive director of Conference Centres of Excellence, said:“We have launched a selective preferred supplier programme, of which Wilson Vale is the first supplier to meet our stringent criteria for entry. Although our primary focus is sales and marketing we approach this from a quality perspective and are therefore delighted to align ourselves with Wilson Vale and keen to work with other suppliers with a quality offer.”

Wilson Vale currently provides catering services at two of the consortium’s member venues: Cotswold Conference Centre on the Farncombe Estate in Worcestershire and Broadway House in the heart of Westminster.

Under the agreement, Wilson Vale will have an opportunity to sponsor the consortium’s annual awards dinner, take part in CCE exhibitions and run food-focused workshops for CCE members.

Andrew Wilson concluded: “We are really excited about sharing our niche area of expertise with an appreciative audience that understands the impact fresh food and local sourcing can have on driving venue sales.”
