Wilson Vale has been awarded the catering contract for Denman College, the Women's Institute residential adult educational college near Oxford.
The Georgian building set in 17 acres provides residential and day courses for over 6,000 students a year and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading providers of residential adult training.
As would be expected Denman went through a rigorous selection process as Andrew Wilson explains;
“We were so excited at having the opportunity to be involved in the project given the strong reputation and cultural heritage of the college. The procurement process was extremely exacting but this gave us the opportunity to demonstrate the close affinity between our two organisations.
Since we started in 2002 we have built our reputation on providing wonderful food from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and developing excellent craft skills. In summary traditional values blended with contemporary thinking which is very much in harmony with the WI philosophy”
Stephen Hackett, College Principal added “Wilson Vale has an excellent reputation, they understand residential colleges and they will provide first class catering for us. Their passion for food and cooking is clear, as is their commitment to the principles we want to follow on healthy eating using seasonal and locally produced ingredients wherever possible”
